Agregar enlace a imagen destacada en HOME y Categorias

Tengo una duda... Como puedo agregarle un LINK a la imagen destacada que aparece en el HOME y en las Categorias?.

Es que los usuario son algo Vagos y me estan diciendo que no saben ver las fotos, ya que con mi web anterior al darle click a la imagen ivan directamente a la galeria.

Aparte, en la pequeña descripcion quiero agregarle un texto de enlace pero cuando publico la Noticia el enlace no esta.

Tendríamos que saber que plantilla utilizas, y si cuelgas el codigo de la home, mejor.
 
Deberás buscar en tu archivo index.php o home.php de tu theme la función the_post_thumbnail() y alrededor de él hacer lo que deseas, si por ejemplo quieres que vayan a la galería del mismo puedes usar the_attachment_link(), por ejemplo.

Lo que quiero, es poderle agregar a las Miniatura un Link Personalizado que se dirija a un album en especifico de mi Galeria Coppermine, es como un Boton con Imagen, pero usando la imagen destacada.
