Eliminar meta keywords en página index de WordPress

¿Como puedo eliminar los meta keywords de la página index en WordPress?

Conozco mucho de este CMS llamado WordPress, pero a veces se me pasan algunos datos, por ejemple, los meta keywords, busqué en >Admin >Ajustes >Generales pero no coinciden los Meta Keywords que están escritos con los que aparecen cuando pongo la opción inspeccionar elementos o codificación de la página.

Eso me retrasa el SEO en mi página ya que Meta Keywords en abundancia es considerado SPAM.

la ubicación de la función que imprime la metas depende de cada tema, generalmente las encontraras en header.php o functions.php

No se en que parte cambiar de header.php o functions.php, por favor explíquenme.
