No encuentro zona Widgets después de cambiar plantilla en WordPress

Buen día, esta vez necesito una mano de los expertos

resulta que en una instalacion de wp nueva (aparecieron los widgets) pero al subirle un template ya no aparecen, he cambiado tema pero todo sigue igual, he reinstalado wp, pero nada que hacer, todo sigue asi.. es decir, no aparecen los widgets de modificar/agregar etc.. aqui una imagen de como aparece:

Puede ser que el theme no contenga sidebars :drunk:

Intentaste actualizarlo desde el panel? tenes la última versión?

El wp, es nuevo, al parecer el problema es el tema, porq no me dejaba entrar a wp-login, se quedaba en blanco, he renombrado el tema y ya puedo acceder, pero los widgets siguen sin aparecer..
