Problemas con W3 Total Cache en Wordpress

Hola, que tal?

Ando con un problema con el plugin W3 Total Cache de Wordpress en mi VPS de hostgator y no se como solucionarlo...cuando lo activo me tira los siguientes errores que hacen que no funcione como deberia

It appears Page Cache URL rewriting is not working. If using apache, verify that the server configuration allows .htaccess or if using nginx verify all configuration files are included in the configuration.

Alguien sabe que tengo que hacer para solucionarlo?

Otro plugin de cacheo me traería los mismos problemas?

Es un VPS de hostgator nivel 3 y realmente necesitaría arreglar esto porque es una de las razones por las que creo que tarda en cargar mi sitio.

bueno yo haría un backup al .htaccess luego lo borraría , deshabilitara todos los plugins e intentaria de nuevo con w3chache los permisos son 644

retiro lo que dije anteriormente, el httacess tiene permisos 777

igualmente no se como solucionar el error de arriba
