Busca en el CSS, no es el que subiste, es otro. Busca esto:

Insertar CODE, HTML o PHP:
.navBar.navbar-default {
  background-color: #2c3e50;
  border-color: transparent;
}

Ese color lo cambiar por el que esté a tu elección. Si quieres lo borras y obtendrás uno similar al fondo de la página.

Debes buscar la clase .navbar-default en el archivo style.css y reemplazar la propiedad background-color:#2C3E50, por:
