The type of number matters before a service even sends a code.

Virtual and VoIP lines are often identified separately and may not be accepted during registration. SMS Arena uses real physical mobile-carrier SIMs, so the number behaves like a normal carrier line.

This matters when a number is needed for more than a few minutes — for registration, repeat verification and continued account access.

The full process takes place in Telegram: choose a country and period, receive the number, and view the SMS in the bot. No complicated separate dashboard and no KYC from the rental service.

How to connect


1. Sign in to the website
Sign up and sign in at https://sms-arena.com with email or Telegram.

2. Create an API key
Open the API section on the website, name your key and click "Create".
• up to 5 keys per account — handy to keep a separate key for each integration;
• a key is shown only once — save it right away;
• an unused or leaked key can be revoked in the same section.

3. Send the key with every request
The main method is the X-API-Key header. Authorization: Bearer is also supported.

Flow: from picking a number to receiving SMS


Step 1. Check the balance

The response contains the rental ID and the number. You need this ID for SMS and extensions.

Step 4. Track your rentals
• GET /v1/OrderBookings?status=active — active rentals;
• GET /v1/OrderBookings/{id} — one rental: number, service, country, status, end date;
• GET /v1/Orders — recent account orders.

Step 5. Receive SMS
• GET /v1/Sms/{booking_id} — messages for a specific rental: text, sender, code, received time;
• GET /v1/Sms — latest SMS across the account (up to 100).
While waiting for a code, poll GET /v1/Sms/{booking_id} at a reasonable interval, e.g. every 5–10 seconds.

Step 6. Extend a rental
• GET /v1/OrderBookings/{id}/ExtendOptions — available extension terms and prices (same rules as the dashboard);
• POST /v1/OrderBookings/{id}/Extend — extend an active rental, the balance is debited.

Response codes and key notes


• 402 — insufficient balance, top up your dashboard;
• 503 — the selected option is out of stock right now, try another country or term;
• 404 — rental not found or belongs to another account.

Balance is the dashboard USD wallet: a top-up on the website is available in the API right away. Treat your key like a password and never publish it in code or screenshots.

Three key numbers


• 20% — from each invitee’s first top-up;
• up to 12% — from all later top-ups, lifetime;

Invitees who join via your link get +10% on their first top-up inside the service. That bonus is spent in SMS Arena and cannot be withdrawn.


How the rate grows


The recurring rate depends on your referrals’ turnover and is recalculated automatically:

• 5% — base rate;
• 7% — referral turnover from $500;
• 10% — from $2,000;
• 12% — from $5,000 (maximum).

Example (not a report — a simple count): a referral tops up $100 → you get $20 from the first deposit. Then you earn a share of every later top-up.

In the SMS market these two products are often mixed up.

One-time activation is the “get one code and release the number” model. The line only needs to catch a short window: the service sends an SMS, you take the code, and access to that number for you ends. If you later need another login, 2FA, or recovery — that same number may already be gone.

Rental means the number stays assigned to you for a chosen term. While the rental is active, inbound SMS for that line are available in the dashboard or the bot. That is a different product and a different job.

SMS Arena only sells rental. We do not offer one-shot “code without keeping the number” — even a short term is still a rental.

When you need the number “for later”


Signup is only the first SMS. Platforms often text the same number again for:

• signing in on a new phone or browser;
• two-factor checks and security codes;
• device changes, suspicious login, account recovery.

If the number was one-shot, the next code may never reach you. If the number is on rental, you control the term and can extend it manually while the rental is still active.

Who rental fits — and who it does not


Rental fits when the number must outlive signup: messengers, work and personal accounts, any scenario with follow-up SMS.

One-shot logic can look cheaper if you need exactly one code and the account does not matter afterward. SMS Arena does not sell that format — the product is built around keeping access to the line for a term.
