Problemas con habilitar cache y compresión en navegador

Hola amigos,

Tras realizar algunas pruebas con la web que mide la velocidad de google: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights veo que me sale como prioridad especificar el cache del navegador.

Habilitar compresión, Especificar caché de navegador

Para habilitar el cache del navegador, lo que hice fue editar el archivo .htaccess añadiendo en su interior el siguiente texto:

Esto lo hice hace un par de días pero cuando realizo el test me sigue dando el mismo problema. No se que mas puedo hacer para prevenir este mensaje y que la web corra mas rápido.

Tengo instalado WP Super Cache pero por lo visto no hace bien su función o no lo tengo bien configurado? Seguí este tuto: WP Super Cache, guía para optimizar y acelerar tu WordPress

Mi segunda consulta, también relacionada con el resultado de la web que hace test, es la de habilitar la compresión.

Es posible que si la habilito WP Super Cache no haga bien su función? Me pareció leerlo por alguna parte y es por ello que la tengo deshabilitada, aunque sinceramente ya ni recuerdo donde o como se habilitaba.

¿Vosotros la tenéis habilitada?

Probé hace poco ese plugin que mencionas y no no me convenció en absoluto. Sí, cachea la página del index muy rápido de tal manera que carga casi al instante pero no se ven los cambios hechos en la web ni limpiando caché de navegador, o por lo menos en mi caso.

De todos los que he probado me quedo con W3-Total Cache que sin duda cumple a la perfección lo que dice y no es muy difícil de configurar, así que te recomiendo al menos lo pruebes y nos cuentas tu experiencia. Simplemente busca en youtube vídeos de como configurarlo según tu hosting y listo. En pingdom tools mi web alojada en banahosting tarda en cargar 1.1Mb en 3.42 segundos

En respuesta a tu segunda pregunta mira en las opciones de wordpress a ver si tienes gzip activado, esto ayudará también a reducir la carga de tu sitio. htttp://urldetusitio/wp-admin/options.php y ahí dale CTRL+f y busca gzip actívalo poniendo un 1.

Muchas gracias por tu respuesta, he pasado de WP super cache a W3 Total Cache y parece que todo funciona mucho mejor, ademas WP super cache no me dejaba habilitar la compresión (me volvia a poner el valor a 0 aunque guardara cambios.... ver para creer).

Aun ahora, sigue apareciéndome un msg de que debo optimizar cache... no lo entiendo 🙁

Gracias por tu interés y ayuda. He copiado tu htaccess pero me sale error con el servidor y como no se trastearlo mucho la verdad... lo he restaurado a su estado anterior y ahora funciona todo nuevamente 🙂.

Ante todo, gracias por el tiempo que habéis dedicado a ayudarme, se agradece mucho 😛4: No todo el mundo se toma la molestia de explicar y ayudar.

He realizado un nuevo test con la misma web de google y el resultado es mucho mejor, 88 sobre 100!!!

Pero para sorpresa... sigue pidiéndome que habilite el cache del navegador!! Esto si que no lo entiendo....

Especificar caché de navegador, Improve server response time

Lo del server no tiene solución pues esta visto que no da mas de si.... lol, pero lo del cache me tiene muy mosca.

¿Alguien podría ayudarme a resolver esto? ya no se que mas puedo hacer

¿Podrías subir una captura para ver en qué parte te sale ese mensaje? Así como de tu htaccess para comparar, aunque w3 total cache ya debió añadir las instrucciones allí. De lo contrario se me ocurre que le preguntes a tu compañía de hospedaje a ver si está ocurriendo algo con los módulos de caché

Muchas veces detectan este tipo de error pero si cachea la web, lo que tienes que medir realmente es el tiempo de carga

El único problema que detecto es que no has establecido una caducidad para las imágenes de tu sitio, como bien se ve en esa captura de pantalla, aunque es la primera vez que veo ese panel de caché.

Yo no le daría mucha importancia ya que acabo de entrar en tu web y carga bastante rápido.

Este panel de cache no lo tenia antes, se "llenó" al instalar W3 Cache y configurarlo según un tuto del 2013.

¿Como puedo especificar la caducidad de las imágenes para ganar algo mas de puntuación?

En respuesta a tu segunda pregunta mira en las opciones de wordpress a ver si tienes gzip activado, esto ayudará también a reducir la carga de tu sitio. htttp://urldetusitio/wp-admin/options.php y ahí dale CTRL+f y busca gzip actívalo poniendo un 1.
