Disminución drástica de visitas diarias y rendimiento VPS lento

Hola!

Tengo un vps en Knownhost VS3... y me soportaba unas 100k de visitas por día... ahora las visitas bajaron a unos 8k por día y no se porque. Sospecho que es por el vps que esta andando muy mal y lento. No cambie nada, esta todo optimizado.

Antes cuando llegaba a picos de 130k por día me llegaba el email de "High 5 minute load average alert" y ahora con 8k 🙁.. cada día con menos!

Repito, no cambie nada. Mismo codigo desde hace meses y ahora empieza a andar muy mal. Que puede ser??

Ya mande soporte pero no responden :S

Yo tambien estoy en Knownhost con VPS2 y los ultimos correos me llegan por que estan queriendo hacer algun tipo de escaneo al sitio, trabar de entrar sitio como root en simples palabras intentan acceder al sitio de forma mal intencionada.

en mi caso yo note un cambio de uso de recursos en especial de CPU al actualizar a Wordpress 3.1 pero en mas no he tenido problemas.

A mi me pasaba eso cuando estaba con ellos, un día tuve 750 online y no dio para más. Se me hace raro, pues los recursos eran bastantes y desde entonces me salí de KH, que es una excelente compañía, lo malo es que no puedes optimizar tanto como quisieras. Si crees que se trata de un ataque pídeles que te configuren el firewall y cierren todos los puertos que no usas, eso puede ayudar. Si tienes acceso por SSH usa top, free -m y ps aux para ver qué es lo que se acaba tus recursos, aunque como puedo ver en tu post, tiene que ver con apache.
