Jorge Mcneil Why is Facebook continuously killing the organic distribution of facebook pages? At this rate, there will be no organic distribution left and only paid ads will appear in our news feed.
Content creators are the ones that helped make Facebook a success, without a fair organic distribution, there is less incentive to create good content and less incentive to buy ads in the long run. Instead, there is more incentive to leave Facebook for a competitor. These reductions in reach have affected ALL posts, REGARDLESS of quality, and is forcing most publishers and businesses to seek alternative social platforms. Why is Facebook so short-sighted, that it's willing to make a ton of Ad revenue in the short term, at the expense of angering and losing it's entire user-base, and businesses/publishers, in the long term? Without users and publishers, Facebook wouldn't earn any revenue. Where is the balance?
One last thing to point out. Facebook claims that its users are more interested in reading the News. But did your company take into account the fact that younger people are leaving Facebook, and older people are joining it? Older people tend to be more interested in the News than younger people. Do you see the correlation?
