Ayuda con Registro tipo TXT en Hostgator

¿Alguien que use HostGator, sabe qué función tiene el siguiente registro de tipo TXT?: "v=spf1 a mx include:websitewelcome.com ~all"

Me salió por defecto y no sé para que sirve.

Insertar CODE, HTML o PHP:

3.3.14. TXT RDATA format

    +--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+
    /                   TXT-DATA                    /
    +--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+

where:

TXT-DATA        One or more <character-string>s.

TXT RRs are used to hold descriptive text.  The semantics of the text
depends on the domain where it is found.
